An Eventful Yoga Session

Ryan wasn't so eager to stick around when mom pulled out the camera.

For the past few weeks, I've been trying to gear up for the upcoming Drill season. I've been trying to run a little more, and have been stretching a lot. So, the other day, I came upon some yoga video podcasts on iTunes. I thought, why not? Some were good...some not so much. As I was finishing up one of the sessions, I heard somebody join me. It seems that Nathan just couldn't resist. It wasn't too much longer when Ryan wanted to be let in on the fun. For a few minutes there, we were all doing downward dog, and all of that good stuff together. I love those little guys. They keep me smiling, and they are so darn cute! All of that quiet meditation you are supposed to be feeling at that point of the session kind of evaporated into bursts of laughter. It was a really unique and unexpected place to make a memory with my brothers, but we had a lot of fun. Note: Sorry about the picture, my mom did say that it looked like more of a crime scene than an activity:) Loves XOXO

Drill Try-outs...AGAIN!

Our Team:)

What our kickline USED to look like!

Ashby and Me with Nate:)
Parade...it seems like a million years ago!

This week we had Drill try-outs again.  It seems hard to believe that I've already been on the team for a year.  To be fair, EVERYBODY tried out, not just new members.  So with sore muscles and incredibly tired eyes, I write this post.  All of the old members made it.  Plus 6 new members:  Ashley Lancaster (our manager last year.  LOVE her!), Jessica Washburn (Wash-B:), Alyssa Sawyer, Erica Mehl, Alexus Poulsen, and Brielle Woolsey.  We kidnapped the girls and had a sleepover last night...Yes, I know, a school night.  We got probably a max of 2-3 hours of sleep, and came to school with no make-up and pajamas.  (Drill tradition!)  When we were sitting in Drill this morning, Cass (Mrs. A's assistant) realized that we had made a HUGE mistake!  One of my good friends, Kiera Spencer, had made the team, but her number hadn't been posted.  We drove to the jr. high before drill ended.  We took her out of her Seminary class, and told her that she had made the team.  It was great to see such hard work rewarded.  Her eyes really lit up.  GOOD JOB KIERA!;)  Good job to everybody else too.  It's going to be hard to see DeFreese, Chalyse, Katherine, Furner, Joelle, Tiff, and Breanna leave, but we have some real talent and passion coming to the team next year that will be great for us.
